Paul Owen Associates provided full civil and structural engineering design services for the new bridge structure for the new St Luke’s School as part of the Exeter schools programme. A complex structure was required to meet the Architect’s and planner’s requirements for a statement bridge as part of the school development. The structure is curved to two directions along the length of the bridge with elliptical shaped columns. Innovative pre-cast concrete techniques were employed to minimise disruption to the highway.
